 Wow. Got up this morning, late. Really slept well after the last few sleepless nights. What do I find? All UK airports closed due volcanic ash!. I though I’d make this post as it has info that probably wont make it to the news programs. I should mention that I am qualified to comment upon such weather [...]  Took some time out yesterday and spent the afternoon on the north coast near Strathy Point, Sutherland. Maybe not a brilliant day for picture taking, but managed to get a couple of shots worth keeping. This one looks quite dramatic in mono, and I didn’t need to do much on my computer. I use Nikon [...]  Or at least I hope it is. It seems like a distant memory, but it’s not that far away and time to think about the warm months with long days that lay ahead. The Photographs below, taken just below Pulteney Town, Wick. Beautiful spot, just outside of the harbour.  Managed to catch these little blighters at the right moment. Hamish and Nipper.  You guessed, even more snow. Not sure if we can get out today, but at least we can tend the animals. The quad is a god send. Without it, life would be very difficult, or certainly more than it is just now. This one machine means so much to us. Imagine checking the fence line, [...]  Arose this morning to a familiar scene, more snow. More to come over the weekend. |
